KHON2 News (Nov 27, 2020) – Honolulu city councilor calls on adjustments to the state mask-mandate. Please watch only about 2 minutes of this report
* Mayor Caldwell appears to love that idea! Councilmember Menor will introduce the resolution to the council on December 9th and which will be open to public for discussion?
Resolution 20-321 REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR AND THE MAYOR TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER AMENDING THEIR EMERGENCY ORDERS REGARDING COVID-19 BY MANDATING THE WEARING OF FACECOVERINGS BY INDIVIDUALS WHILE OUT DOORS REGARDLESS OF PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND WHETHER OR NOT THEY ARE MEMBERS OF THE SAME HOUSEHOLD
We encourage you to contact your Councilmember asking them to oppose this unconstitutional resolution from moving forward. Make it as simple or as complex as you wish, just make sure they know you are aware of what is going on. And as always, be respectful.
If you are not sure who your councilmember is see below. Unfortunately new council members like Andria Tupola and Agusto Tulba aka Augie T. will not be sworn in till Jan. 2021.
